Improved version of Catotron, Catalan voice system

Col·lectivaT cooperative has presented an improved version of Catotron, the first voice system in Catalan based on neural networks.

Now the synthesised sentences can be longer and the computation is more efficient, as a result of work carried out over the last year together with the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

The technologies used are the Tacotron2 and WaveGlow repositories, from the company NVIDIA, published with an open licence on github.

The company has previously collaborated with other platforms for the defence of Catalan on the Internet, such as Softcatalà.
