Fundació .cat, 3Cat and AMIC launch the Premis CRIT to recognise digital content creation in Catalan

On April 15, the Premis CRIT were officially presented — a joint initiative by Fundació .cat, 3Cat, and the Association of Information and Communication Media (AMIC). These awards aim to recognise, support and professionalise the creation of digital content in the Catalan language.
The Premis CRIT seek to give visibility to the talent that communicates and innovates through social media in Catalan, offering a platform to help grow the digital ecosystem in the language.
A shared project with national ambition
During the presentation, Genís Roca, president of Fundació .cat, stated:
“The Premis CRIT are much more than just an award. They are a platform to grow our digital ecosystem in Catalan, connecting people, ideas and institutions.”
Rosa Romà, president of 3Cat, stressed the importance of ensuring high-quality Catalan-language content on social media, especially for younger audiences. Ramon Grau, president of AMIC, highlighted the value of creativity and the use of the language across multiple digital formats.
How will the first edition work?

The committee also includes well-known professionals from the digital and cultural sectors, such as Gina Tost, Marta Salicrú, Magda Gregori, Albert Lloreta, Guillem Carol, Gemma Cuadrado and Marc Gabernet.
The award ceremony will take place on June 20 at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya.

Toward a new Catalan digital culture
The Premis CRIT are a strategic commitment to placing the Catalan language at the centre of digital creation. The goal is not only to recognise existing talent, but to inspire new voices, build collaborative networks and consolidate a shared creative space.
With this first edition, we open the door for Catalan not only to be present online — but to stand strong, with its own voice and a future ahead.
