Fundació .cat and La Fera Promote An Industrial Standard For Catalan Content Creators
This weekend, Fundació .cat was at L’Aferrada in Palma de Mallorca, where Roman Roset, head of digital projects at the foundation, shared the vision of the need to create the first industrial standard for the world of content creators in Catalan. This initiative, developed in collaboration with La Fera, the digital creation factory, is expected to be unveiled during the first quarter of 2024.
Fundació .cat and La Fera agree on the importance of establishing this standard as an essential tool to identify innovations, trends, and phenomena within the Catalan content ecosystem. In addition, this project opens up a great opportunity for content creators themselves, as it will contribute to boosting the promotion of their works and content generated in Catalan.
During L’Aferrada, we were able to attend other very interesting presentations. In her speech, Eva Olivares emphasized the importance for content creators to maintain control and ownership over their content and community. Likewise, Pedro Rojas, a consultant in digital strategy and artificial intelligence, addressed the issue of Instagram actions that do not yield the expected results, offering practical solutions to tackle this issue.
We also got to know the digital project of 3cat, EVA, and the projects of AMIC to promote new digital creators in Catalan: AMIC Nous talents and AMIC Directes.
In addition to these and other very interesting presentations, L’Aferrada allowed for the meeting and exchange of experiences with various content creators from across the Catalan-speaking territory. The synergy generated during this weekend highlighted the vitality and diversity of this creative ecosystem.
In summary, Aferrada in Palma was not only a space for meeting and exchange for Catalan content creators but also the setting where the need and determination of the .cat Foundation and Fera to create a standard that will enhance the development and projection of content creators in Catalan were evident. With the hope of seeing the fruits of this project in 2024, enthusiasm and collaboration continue to grow in this vibrant creative ecosystem.
